Ferrel, 325 contracts at a single strike price is a fairly heavy load for one day. It indicates to me that a number of people think the price will increase fairly rapidly, although some of the buying could represent short sellers hedging their bets. The price of the common stock doesn't have to surpass 7 1/2 for the option holders to make money, it just has to climb fast enough to beat the time-decay built into the option price. At the 7 1/2 strike price there are 1608 May calls and 350 May puts open. That's about a 5 to 1 ratio. For the July 7 1/2's, the calls and puts are more evenly balanced: 1334 to 950.
