Business Summary

markets. GRADIUM glass is an optical quality glass material with
varying refractive indices, capable of reducing optical aberrations
inherent in conventional lenses and performing, with a single lens, tasks

optics markets. For the six months ended 12/99, revenues rose 23%
to $547 thousand. Net loss applicable to Common rose 56% to $3.2
million. Results reflect higher sales of telecom products and product
development/license fees; offset by charges associated with debenture
issuance.
