Re: "Intel does not have equivalent CuMine chips"

What is going to happen now, with the advent of 1GHz processors, is that the press is going to go mad comparing AMD and Intel systems. With Rambus support and vastly superior cache technology, Intel based systems will blitz those tests.

I don't know where the reports of AMD winning the GHz war have come from. AMD have not launched their chips today, they have announced that they will be shipping to OEMs. Intel has been doing this for some time.

Compaq will ship the very first 1 GHz AMD systems to customers part way thru next week.

Dell is expected to start shipping the first Intel based 1 GHz systems on Wednesday this week.
