Sony PS2 sales launch in Japan an all-time blow-out.
MSDW's Edelstone makes pos comments today re RMBS.

The next competitor to PS2 is Nintendo's new product due
out near the end of the year. Guess whose chip they are using? Sega is falling off the financial cliff.

The new, earnest, wet-behind-the-ears Manager of Product Development at MSFT, I think his name is Bates or Fruates, or Quates or Gates or something- On Fri., he's going to announce MSFT's new video game product. Should be a wild week. Unknown if they are going to use rmbs or not, but the MSFT product is supposedly being developed with Intel (who is forcing rmbs down everyone's throat) and
will not be avail until 2001 at the earliest.

RMBS up 42 pts today.
