If Ad spending is indeed being cut by E-Trade, what is the reason? and what effect would it have on the stock price? Could it be, that E-Trade is in talks to merge? Possibly, that would be good news for shareholders if E-Trade was was to be acquired.
Could business be so good that management is cutting ad spending to slow growth "slightly" while they get a handle on current customer service needs and improved system capabilities. Again possible, that would also be good news for shareholders. That would lead to a direct increase in profitability and would satisfy disgruntled current users.
Both senarios are good news for E-Trade shareholders. So, let's hope that these rumored ad spending cuts are legit. They can only be good for the stock price.

Good Luck
