Welcome to SDLI! I arrived here in Baltimore a couple hours ago and just checked today's close. What a great way to start the conference! In the news, a couple WSJ mentions: interactive.wsj.com . . . Soaring Nasdaq tech companies included SDL, which gained 19 1/2 to 442, Broadcom, up 26 3/4 to 232 7/8 and Ciena, which rose 11 13/16 to 169 5/16.[Friday's close.] interactive.wsj.com . . . Fiber-optic technology issues also posted sharp gains. JDS Uniphase added 13 1/16 to 293 1/16, SDL increased 21 1/16 to 463 1/16, reaching a 52-week high intraday, and Agilent Technologies finished 43 1/4 higher to 151 1/4, also on Nasdaq. . . .
