Thank you for your 1st reply, a copy of it and the second copy of it.

Did you know Intel has PROFITS exceeding $2,000,000,000 per quarter ?

Do you know that Intel has over 3 billion shares outstanding? Each one of those shares buys you only so much of that profit. That's why people invented the "per share" ratios.

For example, each one of your AMD shares earned $0.43, and each one of your Intel shares earned $0.61.

This means that if you invest $1 in AMD your investment entitles you to more profit than if you invested the same $1 in Intel.

Since this may be a little over your head given your math skills, let me illustrate this with an example:

Your $1000 investment today at close in AMD would buy you $36.21 of profits. $1000 invested in INTC would buy you only $20.78 of profits.

So by investing in AMD, you are investing in a more profitable company.
