Followup to the post I just sent in which I said either McCain or Gore would be the next President.

Just consider: The elder Bush won his first term on Reagan's coattails. Four years later he lost his re-election bid, despite the popularity he garnered for his handling of the Persian Gulf War, to a then obscure Governor of Arkansas with known ethical skeletons in his closet. The younger Bush is a lesser man compared to his father. Everything he is or has is derived from his status as GHWB's son. And he will be an even weaker candidate in the general election than his father was in 1992. He doesn't stand a chance.
