typical anti Christ spiel, dude. No new news here.
I disapprove of any religious group which intends to achieve political domination over others. Does that make me anti-Christ, or Antichrist?
First , Christians gave you those rights...haha
They also saw fit to write the separation of church and state into the basic law of the land. I'm sure it seemed a logical step, since many of them had been forced to flee their homelands in response to persecution by other Christians.
Since YOU are preaching atheism, you are evangelizing, so concern yourself with that
I have never preached atheism to anyone. I referred to fundamentalist Christianity and fundamentalist Islam as medieval superstitions; how does that translate into preaching atheism?
If a discussion of religion is going on, I will say what I think and why, as anybody would. I generally wouldn't bother, unless the discussion involves the interface between religion and governance. I would never approach people uninvited and try to convince them to believe as I do. That would be just plain rude.
you seem to want no morality for my kids
I think you should be free to teach your kids any sort of morality you choose. Just don't try to force it on my kids.
I have never seen any evidence to suggest that religious people behave any more morally or ethically than non-religious ones. In proportion to their representation in the general population, there are fewer atheists in prison than there are members of any religious group.
For the rest of it, all I can say is this: what I believe is not "true"; it is simply what I believe. What you believe is not "true"; it is simply what you believe. Neither of those beliefs is inherently superior to the other. We are each entitled to believe as we do; neither of us is entitled to impose his beliefs on the other. Those who would grant official sanction to one belief, and use the resources of government to encourage that belief above others, are demanding the renunciation of one of our basic freedoms, and those concerned with freedom - not just for themselves, but for all - should oppose them, and be suspicious of politicians who make deals with them. |
