Dear Paul: Correct me if I am wrong, as I dont pretend to know as much as you but here is what I think: EVEN if AMD had a better product (which they dont and any honest judge would agree to that) they do NOT have the capacity to produce enough to penetrate much farther into INTC field. Because the costs of FABS and equiping them is now ASTRONOMICAL I see NO WAY AMD or anyone else could present a serious challenge to INTC now or in the future. I have forgotten the total but I know INTC has something in the 40'S in the way of FABS ALL PAID FOR. AMD I believe has two maybe three NOT paid for. INTC could put them out of business ANY TIME they wished but for POLITICAL purposes they dont. They just give them enough crumbs to hang around. JDN
