Tim:

My first mistake was in forgetting the devastating effect EB has had on COMS stock price every single time he has appeared on CNBC. He is the only CEO I have ever seen who thinks it's a good idea to make an earnings disappointment sound like the company is headed for bankruptcy.

My second mistake was that when I heard EB was going to be on CNBC just as the IPO lit off, I should have dropped everything and run for cover. "Yankowski, sure, but why EB?" I asked myself. "But even EB can't screw this up, can he?" And then he did. "But it will soon be forgotten, right?" Wrong on both counts. In the space of a few minutes, he managed to assure everyone that PALM's stock price would come down and take COMS with it, cast doubt on whether COMS shareholders would ever get any PALM, and convinced the market he was now ready for a spending spree with COMS PALM stock as currency.

Another painful lesson. COMS could turn here, but I'm going to watch and wait. There'll be plenty of opportunities with this one over the next 6-9 months.

When I mentioned the HWP/A distribution, it was more of a reminder that there's still a discount way of buying A, and that the distribution may shed light on what may happen as we get to D-Day for PALM. I may spring for some HWP today with some of the COMS $$.

Good luck.
