The Goldman Sachs Group, Inc. and Biotechnology Investments Limited (BIL)
have exercised all of their Series A common share purchase warrants issued
on March 6, 1996. Accordingly, the company has issued 3,260,868 common
shares for total proceeds of $7,108,692. In addition, National Bank
Financial Inc. exercised 371,250 agents warrants (issued in connection with
the company's 1999 financing) for total proceeds to the company of
$464,062.
Ian McBeath, Inflazyme's president and chief executive officer, said,
"Inflazyme is pleased to have the continuing support of Goldman Sachs and
BIL as we move forward in our efforts to develop novel therapies for
inflammatory diseases and immunological disorders."
