Dave, I think the SAT does measure intelligence but not motivation which would explain the performance disparity between high scorers and low scorers. before everyone starts talking about exceptions and people who take tests well the bottom line is anyone who scores 1400 on the SAT is highly intelligent but i'm sure there are people who bomb that are intelligent as well.
