RESEARCH ALERT-CSFB focus list adds Viatel March 7, 2000 05:40 AM LONDON, March 7 (Reuters) - Credit Suisse First Boston said on Tuesday it added telecommunications services provider Viatel Inc. to its European focus list of top stock picks. It said the company trades at only 4.5 times estimated 2000 sales, compared with a peer group average of nearly 20 times. CSFB said Viatel's purchase last week of AT&T Corp.'s T UK unit for $125 million in cash helped see through the company's business plan by providing business customers and a UK network.
