DSL.net Expands National Coverage Via Agreement with Covad

March 6, 2000 04:52 PM
NEW HAVEN, Conn., March 6 /PRNewswire/ -- DSL.net, Inc. DSLN , a direct provider of high-speed data communications and Internet solutions, today announced a national agreement with Covad Communications COVD . With this agreement DSL.net expands its coverage into larger US markets, building on its success in Tier II and Tier III cities across the US.
"This new relationship is an outgrowth of the success that DSL.net is having in serving the needs of businesses in Tier II and Tier III cities," said Dave Struwas, DSL.net president and chief executive officer. "As more and more customers come on line with us, the ability to reach their branch office, colleagues, and coworkers in Tier I cities becomes a growing opportunity for us."

Under this agreement, DSL.net can now provide its service in first tier cities over Covad's network. In this way, DSL.net leverages its strong peering relationships and the significant investments it has made in its own network, across a broader footprint.

"Our relationship with Covad further enhances our position as a single point of contact for multi-location businesses across the country," said David Struwas. "Covad's broad footprint complements our expanding national presence of over 140 Tier II and Tier III cities across the US."

"Our relationship with DSL.net expands upon our mission to bring an ultra- fast, 'always on' connection to the Internet to the greatest number of end- users possible," said Rich Wong, vice president of marketing for Covad. "DSL.net, with its focus on Tier II and Tier III cities, helps expand the availability of broadband services."
