Can anyone tell me why this stock is not way over valued and over hyped?
It seems that GSPN essentially only has three DSL customers: Cisco, Lucent and Intel.
-Cisco has been using GSPN for a while now, but mainly for CAP based DSL.
-Last quarter GSPN added Intel as a customer who many believe to be short term, and at the same time their Cisco chip shipments decreased because of this. (Intel took over Cisco's US West modem business and Intel is suppose to have their own DSL chips this year, making Intel only a short term customer for GSPN).
-LU is using GSPN some for the Stinger, but the Stinger is having serious problems selling.
How can anyone say that GSPN is leader in DSL? Cap based DSL, yes, but what else?
Who is using GSPN DSL besides US West?
-Bell Atlantic, BellSouth, SBC/Ameritech, PacBell and GTE? No.
-What about Covad? Nope.
The real leaders in ADSL chips seem to be Alcatel, Orckit, Analog Devices, TI and Centillium. Where does GSPN rank? When CAP DSL dies what happens to GSPN?
The big equipment suppliers are Alcatel, Nokia, Copper Mountain, Ericsson, Marconi, Newbridge, Fujitsu, Orckit, Hyundai, Samsung, Lucent, Cisco, Siemens, Infineon, ECI, Nortel, 3COM, Westell, Pairgain, Paradyne, Intel, Netpoia, NEC, ST Micro, among others.
How many of these 24 vendors are using Globespan DSL chips? From what we know only 3 - Cisco is using Globespan chips, but they use chips from Analog Devices as well. Intel is a customer for now, and Lucent is only using GSPN chips for a small portion of their xDSL business. No GSPN chips are going into LU's Pathstar, 7R/E, 5ESS, AnyMedia system, and those are LU's big sellers.

Can anyone tell me why GSPN is a leader in DSL?
