HOUSTON, Mar 7, 2000 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Berens Industries Inc. (OTCBB:BEII)
announced that it has signed an agreement with Interliant (Nasdaq:INIT), a
leading Application Service Provider (ASP), to roll-out a complete hosting
solution for Streaming Auctions(TM). Under the terms of the agreement, Berens
may bundle Interliant's hosting services with Berens' eBusiness solutions, and
Interliant may co-market Berens brand and products through its website and
collateral marketing. The first step in this agreement is to immediately
implement an Interliant-managed domain for artmovement.interliant.com to host
all Berens' applications.

"Since we focus on enabling our clients to exploit both the creative and
technological possibilities of the Internet, we needed an ASP that would not
throttle us with arbitrary limits," says Kevin Willcutts, VP of Business
Development at Berens Industries. "Our solutions require support for
high-bandwidth, creative mediums such as Webcasting channels using streaming
audio and video. With unmatched managed-hosting experience, Interliant gives us
peace of mind to know we can always achieve maximum speed, capacity, and
security for our Internet solutions. Interliant also provides the unique ability
to support all major development platforms, such as Oracle, IBM and Microsoft
enterprise messaging and eCommerce solutions, and all major OS's such as NT, Sun
and Linux. Interliant will not tie us to one technology paradigm."

Expected roll-out date for artmovement.interliant.com is April 3rd, at which
time Berens will begin formal testing of Streaming Auctions in an ASP
environment. While initial testing will not be open to the general public until
mid-May, Berens is registering Platinum Beta and Sales Channel partners at this
time. The final release of Streaming Auctions will represent the world's first,
commercially available auction network to bundle managed, ASP services.
