It's not a question of "seeing it," it's a question of the delay caused by latency not being compatible with TCP/IP - and don't ask me why because I am not a network engineer. Here's one article on it, there are a lot of them. networkcomputing.com Obviously, high-speed data can be transmitted by satellite, they've been doing it for years, e.g. INMARSAT, INTELSAT, and all the other government satellites. I did a newspaper article more than 20 years ago on private companies using data from weather satellites to track hurricanes in the Gulf of Mexico. It's the interactivity that's a problem. Yesterday I dug out research I did two years ago on the issue, which stated that the latency makes it impossible to perform highly interactive transactions like bond transactions via GEO. Nothing I've read over the past few days contradicts that, at least for the present. If you know better, I have no problem with learning something new.
