Well, after being lazy, then chasing my tail a little I finally thought to look in the end-product catalogs. Voila! I don't have to guess if SLI makes and sells high brightness white LEDs any more. SLI (Chicago Miniature Light) sells 2300 MCD bright white LEDs at Allied Electronics and Newark. See the SLI thread if you want the links to the catalog pages (I love the internet <gg>).

So, with the acquisition of OSA Electronik GmbH in 1998 and the 70% SLI owned venture with Stanley Electric in 1999, SLI will have the ability of total white LED fixture manufacturing, from the "ground" up. My only question now is sales channels. I assume they can use the existing channels that they have for their products now. I think I read somewhere that they might be working on a direct model. Isn't everyone? <gg>.
