Geo2 shareprice exploded last night running from A$0.25 cents to A$0.90 before settling at A$0.70 cents on volume of 29,000,000 shares!!!! This follows on from VTI that jumped from around A$0.12 cents three weeks ago to A$1.50. The next one to follow is EMM (Electrometals). Geo2 just bought a stake in EMM. EMM is in discussions with General Motors to recycle palladium from catalytic converters. The problem of palladium supplies is front page news in to-days WSJ. EMM has 33M shares at A$0.40 = US$8M market cap. EMM has contracts with Freeport, Asarco, has a pilot plant at Intel recycling copper from bad circuit boards AND a host of other projects. Geo2 will be building its first pilot plant in the U.S. later this year to recycle plastics and precious metals from used computer scrap....more to follow... .." Richard Badauskas is talking Circuit Boards, not CHIPs, but it is an interesting METALS recyling read. Granted, why are they doing this, cost benifit and Platinum Group Eleements is a good guess, I suspect. Maybe not seems to me that with high PGM Commodity prices we might hear about more of this in the future, I know and I know- ME AND Mining. Makes sense to me thought.
