Interesting article. What surprises me, with the looming shortage, how come they are not able to raise prices for the wafers to the point where they become profitable? At current prices, WFR is still not breaking even. Maybe the industry is not producing the wafers the chip makers need (low defects and epi) in high enough quantities, that is also where the margins should be much nicer.
