Russ,

Of course it would be better to have 'high grade' at surface, but there are many 'profitable' open pit mines that have grades of 1 g/ton. Remember, these were all shallow holes and they are now going to do follow-up drilling along the higher grade shoots.

Opon looks very good so far. Not many places where you will hit gold on almost every hole and over good widths.

After such news, it's a shame that the mineral sector garners so little attention and hence BGI went up only a little. If we've finally breached that $0.30 level, that in itself is a good thing.

Re: the mining sector, look at the AUR/Teck/Cominco deal that was announced today. Aur will be able to mine, process and sell an additional 165,000,000 lbs. of copper every year for many years to come and have a cost of production of less than $0.50/lb. If copper sells for even $0.70/lb, that's a decent return on the investment and a payback in about three years. How did the market react? It just yawned!

This market is a real bubble in the hi-tech sector and when it implodes, alot of people buying these fast moving companies at today's prices are going to get hurt.

I'll get off my basket now.

Brian
