To All, Brick and Mortar Cheapskate Alert. Our two largest drugstores have very nice freebates this month.
1. Walgreen's has Natru-Vent nasal spray for free. And Dove deodorant. A free Schick FXDiamond Razor (it really shaves close) and a couple of blades. A free Ensure "nutrition" bar. I put nutrition in quotes as all of these things are filled with process sugar. Free L'Oreal Translucide makeup, which I don't use personally, but somebody I know well who really doesn't even need makeup swears by it. Guess who is reading over my shoulder? <g> Clairol Balsam hair color. And free L'Oreal Hydrasoft Lipstick. Man, I have gotten more lipstick for my sweetie in the past 4 months than I ever have before. Not free is a $2 rebate on six bars of Dove, Caress or Lever 2000 soap. That brings the price to $4, and I have a mfgr's coupon, too.
2. Eckerd has an even better array of freebies, though you have to watch them. Everything listed will be priced to be free sometime this month, but not all of it is free at the same time. Maybelline is giving it away. Two different types of free nail enamel, stick blush, mascara and lipstick. Eckerd also has the L'Oreal Transylvanian makeup for sale for zero after rebate. <g> A huge container of Aussie shampoo, which is good stuff. Accutrim appetite suppressants. Now, don't get excited. They are no longer amphetamines. <g> Clairol hair dye. Fields of Nature herbals. I don't usually buy this stuff, but, since it is free.... An Eckerd photo album. Pepcid is not free, but close to it after rebate. Another deal on Dove soap, $1.99 rebate on two bars, which makes them about 50 cents. |
