pezz, do you think the guy that had the stolen gun used by the 6 year old boy, and another stolen gun in the apartment, had a trigger lock? Do you think he even gives a tinker's damn about trigger locks? Do you think he would care one whit if there were laws against owning a gun? Do you think any law would keep him from having a gun? Do you think that having a law against possessing a gun would stop any criminal, or other low-life, from having a gun? A gun law can not work unless the judicial system throws the book at anyone using a gun while committing a crime. So far, they have shown no inclination to do so. Accountability is the key in stopping such misuse of guns. The parents of those 2 odd balls in Colorado should have been prosecuted for neglect in not having the foggiest idea (maybe) of what their kids were doing right under their noses. Accountability may wake a few negligent people up. I am against any illegal use of guns but, the laws that are on the table now, will not prevent it. ~H~
