Why not call them "established" and "emerging" companies? The "old" vs. "new" tags are derogatory to the former group.

Actually, I will allow them to call those companies as "senile" companies in exchange for a further 20% discount in price! I have been shifting from tech to the "old" economy stocks at a furious pace. The values provided by BRKA/B, JNJ, MRK, G, et al are just compelling. Bought quite a bit of PG at the open today without ever bothering to find out why it was down. A juicy dividend yield of 2.2%, and if the company keeps increasing the dividend at its 10-year historical rate of 12% year over year (if there is a bear market in stocks, I'm sure the rate of increase will be even faster. And PG will always make more and more money, no matter what), it will be a solid source of income 25 years from now.
