Very Good MH....

The average S&P and Dow stock has been a loser since April 1999.....

I met my neifghbor yesterday, and he had some very good "normal" economy stocks in his mutula funds, and guess what ?

They have not made a cent in 2 years with their funds...

They had very, very good, 1st-quartile performer mutual funds, that were not invested in tech...

They have made nothing in 2 years...

WE here at SI are NOT the avergae. For every "lindybill", who took 10,000 in 1995 and hit $ 5,000,000 in 2000, there is the average investor in a world of hurt ....

What wealth effect , id the S&P and the DOW have not been doing so hot ?

I am really, really getting tired of Greenspan afdraid of inflation under every tree....

Where I live, 40-50% of the economy has LOWER prices, with deflation the rule rather than the exception...

1- Software, down
2- Hardware, down
3- cars, down
4- sales, sales everywhere, or I do not buy
5- electronics, down
6- DVD's , CD's, down

Apart from Gas ($ 4 CDN a gallon), even my taxes are going DOWN...

Where is the inflation ?

Salary increases (outside of IT) are running about 1.5% -2% a YEAR !

Where is the inflation ?

Take care
Jean
