<Yeah, those reasonably smart analysts give a $35 or $36 price target to AMD right before Q4 earnings release!>

I still remember the unbelievable meltdown after the Q4 results. Since then I have seen a similar thing happen to COMS at PALM spin-off. These markets and analysts are consistantly irrational on a day-to-day basis.

<It would be nice if people like Peck and Osha finally became positive. What other big bears are there?>

Believe it or not, right now, I would count Niles in the bear camp - because of his recent statements about AMD achieving his near term taget of $40. This guy has impact. If he screws up it will dampen AMD price for no reason. So, for the longs sake I hope he goes out and does his due diligance quickly.

The other key ones that need to do some serious upgrades are Kumar, Mosesmann, and the Goldman Sach's guy (can't remember his name). And, then there are bunch of other people who have AMD at a hold.

<Did you happen to notice AMD closed at an all time high today?>

Yeah, it would be nice to see someone like Niceguy keep counting the all-time highs from now-on to drive some sense into Paul (that would be lot better than trying to predict the daily movement of AMD - which no one on this board has been able to predict with any amount of accuracy)

< They must be making and selling something really good from Austin for this to happen. Wonder what it could be. This isn't typical of a "clown company.">

Starting Q1, I expect CPUs to be bigger driver of profits than FLASH. If AMD management is smart they will point this out in the conference call so that some of the clueless analyst folk who have been harping about FLASH driving the profits and CPU biz losing money wake up and smell the coffee.
