Chris, dinner has never been FM's forte. Lines seem to be longer during lunch though. And they seem to have staying power. That is, the drive through lines remain consistently backed up during lunch. I'm told that FM's same store sales growth has continued and MCD's breakfast promo didn't register a blip on the FM scale. As for Hardee's, as I understand it, they've been losing market share and have been on a downhill slide toward bk for some time. It's questionable in my mind whether CKR can turn those units around. On the other hand, if their goal is to convert them to Carl's locations, it may be a master stroke. Imagine expanding FM's units in one mastes stroke! It won't happen until and unless FM's debt is CONSIDERABLY lower. Hummm, maybe Von's would like to help out in this matter. hopefully we'll find out this year. Arnie
