I have to note that published PE's are always related to a point in time, ie quarterly and yearends. The periods between these times, when the market is in transition, or a company such as BCE is buying and selling assets, makes PE numbers hard to nail down. Any PE based on a closing price is difficult to use. I believe the DD required,( and believe me I try to keep up), to keep abreast of BCE potential earnings at this point is large. The current apparent discount( aside from US/CAN$#) is probably due to the larger folk's taking the time to sort through the last few months of deals. GR

Note to a few previous newer questions: I have always found when I have to look for answers, that a 3 to 6 month review of the SI Stocktalk of interest is well worth your time. For me this is a required step when investing any $.
