*To what extent will revenues be based
on service b/c laying the cable is
not where the money is at!
Do you have any info on that?*

ARCC does not derive revenues from laying cable. They do derive revenues from selling capacity as well as providing specific value added content. See the recent deals with QWST and Enron for good examples.

As for metrics, I will begin to start tracking revenue per desk as well as a few other areas. At this point the numbers are not relevant. I believe that as ARCC ramps later this year we will start to get a better picture of which areas to track. For now, I am just using good ol' cable metrics for lack of a better gauge. I'll post as I become more comfortable with which measurements really are reflecting the company's progress. ARCC is such a different animal I am hesitant to christen any one gauge and say this is how it should be viewed.
