Tepco's fibre lines in place are pretty crucial to the overall system, but there are probably problems trying to figure out who is going to eat the losses (or at least what share). It seems like there were similar problems when Son was negotiating the deal to buy the Nippon Credit Bank and I think Son was a tough negotiator who came out on top. I think there is still hope for the Speednet deal, but I guess we'll have to wait and see. Do they have the proper frequencies allocated to utilize the Cisco system for the last few hundred meters of wireless transmission?
