Paul, if you have time to pop up and attack others on this thread, how about offering us something useful, like your intelligence? What do you project AMD's revenues in year 2000 to be? Are there any other chip companys that you believe will have greater revenue growth in 2000 than AMD?

By the way if you don't care for the Gateway 1GHz PC, Gateway is now selling 950 MHz Athlon systems, and has a great price on a 800 MHz Athlon system starting at $1,999. The cheapest 800 MHz PIII I see Gateway selling is priced at $2,499. Which system do you think non-corporate buyers will select?

Gateway has to love Athlons. Its pricing reminds me of how wedding photographers work. Lure the customer in with a low priced package, and then offer a bunch of add on products & features (which have a higher profit margin) that the customer goes for because the customer thinks he/she got such a great deal in the first place.
