It is simple: stop being fancy. Find a handful of things that are comparatively easy to make in a short amount of time, and make them. For example, I take a round roast, put in slivers of garlic, put a little additional seasoning on top, and stick it in the oven. Bake or mash potatoes, make a salad out of iceberg lettuce, tomatoes, and caesar salad dressing, and voila! a meal. Want something a bit fancier? Get Michael Fields cookbook and make his version of coq au vin. Want something simpler? Get a baguette or two and some ground beef, make some hamburgers (a little garlic powder, some salt and pepper), real cheddar cheese, ketchup, kosher dills, maybe some sweet relish, and make sandwiches.........
In the end, Bush is going to win because it erases Clinton. No one can go back in time to elect HW, but they can pick up where they left off symbolically....... |
