Over the last two weeks in particular, the stock has been on a tear, almost doubling to $17.75 during midday trading yesterday, from slightly more than $10 on Feb 24. The runup is leading executives and analysts to speculate that the company is firmly on the road to recovery, after a dismal fiscal 1999-2000. Kudos to JetForm for coming up with a deal that validates the company's current product lineup. While the announcements earlier this week don't say whether this order displaces prior Navy contracts, Andy Bridge and his team know what they're doing. The OTTAWA CITIZEN on the other hand is guilty of indulging in a bit of predicate reasoning to make the hometown crowd feel better, eh? Stocks go up when companies outperform but companies don't outperform just because their stocks go up. I surely hope that Mr. Gleed and his managers are minding their forecasts more than the stock pages. Bob Sutton
