Selling most Fibre Optics plays. . on disappointing news. . .not one news story from JDSU today. . .and I don't recall any from yesterday. . .yet they released 30 new optical products this week at the conference. Give me a break. . .I cannot begin to explain that. . . . Agilent moved ahead of news, then sold off on the introduction of their new product. . . Lucent has been totally silent. Furthermore, no news on FBCE or LPTHA has weakend both their momentums, IMO. I would love to wait for news. . . but isn't there only one day left to the show? Perhaps we'll get some after show partnership news.
Many stocks looking tired. . .Last time Greenspan spoke, he was excited about the technology revolution and explained that the reason for the extreme valuations was the dramatic increase in productivity. Yet the markets sold off after his speech. After that, the media gave his speech a bearish spin, saying "Birthday wishes go out to Alan Greenspan, who made a wish, then blew out the market."
Anyone having not heard his speech, would have thought that he was all gloom and doom. . . but that is not what he said at all. I expect this speech to get a similar spin. . . thus tanking the markets further. . . I would be shocked if we rallied hard after his speech. . . it is rare.
RRRR, BYND, VUSA, and similar last tier dogs have been in play. . .that typically signals a top of sorts.
