Thanks for the info about Madagascar and its potential for gems. I am inclined to agree that Madagascar will be the next country of interest to investors.

Just for your interest only! Did you know that Madagascar was proposed as the island to settle all Jews before and after World War II? M certainly sounds like an interesting place to me. Way back in the late 50's, some fish thought to be long extinct was found in its waters. Yes indeed, that island (off S. Africa) still has a virginal quality about it.
