[GTE ...Soap Opera City]

Pat,

Pulled from the Westell thread. This goes to your point of perhaps
Amati gaining business that Westell "thinks" they may have.

<<I just spoke to Seamens (CEO of WSTL) This is a summary of what he said in
response to my question of a GTE contract to be granted to WSTL, AMATI or both.
Amati is not active at GTE at the systems level. They have been active in chip
development and do have modems under test with GTE. WSTL has a fully operational
system level test set up at GTE. In regards to a contract announcement he said "the
public percieves AMATI and WSTL as competitors as does GTE". Translation: the
contract goes to one or the other.>>

Now if GTE tells you the news is positive...would they split a contract
or go with Amati.

BTW...another post has a Bell Atlantic home trial using a Westell
modem with excellent results.

I thought soaps were on TV.
