I am a long time lurker, but in reply I had an interesting thing happen with MLNM this morning. The stock was trading at the opening at 256. Being the coward I am, I put a bid for 50 shares at 204 5/16, which was way below the high bid, but put it actually 4th in line on ISLD. There were gaps of 10 to 12 points between each of the bids. 8 minutes later I was confirmed for 45 shares at 204 5/16. It was currently trading at 239 and I managed to sell at 237 1 minute later.
The low for the day at that time was showing 232, I assume my 45 shares was not a large enough trade to count (minimum 100 ?). I thought this was interesting and will watch those large gaps between bids on ISLD more often now. I can only assume that on ISLD the bids got taken away rapidly and mine was finally the one on top, and someone wasn't paying attention. That is what I call a good fill.
