Korea Thrunet Announces a New Chief Financial Officer
  SEOUL, South Korea and NEW YORK, March 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Korea Thrunet Co., Ltd. (Nasdaq: KOREA - news) today announced that Mr. Charles C. Rim, a former Vice President Citicorp, Singapore, has joined on February 22nd, 2000 as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Rim also has a combined thirteen years experience in investment banking and as a securities lawyer in the US and Asia.
  Mr. Rim is responsible for the Finance and Investor Relations Departments. He will be reporting to Mr. Jong-kil Kim, President and Chief Executive Officer of Korea Thrunet. Mr. Rim shall also join the Executive Committee of the Company responsible for supervising the overall direction of the Company.
  In line with the Company's strategic focus on maintaining its leadership position as the country's leading broadband access company and focus on its Internet portal, the Company has also made key additions to its Internet portal strategy team headed by Jae Hyun Lee, previously a partner in Boston Consulting Group, Korea. Mr. Lee has successfully recruited three key members of his previous Internet strategy team (Mr. Yong Hoe Kim, Director; Joo Man Park, Team Leader; and Shin Bong Kang) also from the Seoul office of Boston Consulting Group. In addition, the Company has recruited key strategic software engineers to focus on the newly planned portal site.
