Andy, I wish I was at the OFC as well. Pat Mudge is also there. I agree that shorting JDSU is like shorting Dell back in the 1990s. Until they disappoint in earnings the way Dell did late in the decade, we have an all clear signal. JDSU does not have to worry so much about another NEW startup. Chances are they will not face any competition from an upstart due to the HUGE BARRIERS TO ENTRY. A lot of the shorting could just be related the Nasdaq100, of which JDSU is now an important component. The shorts will learn the hard way, as usual. <g>
