Yaacov: I hope this thread takes some of the traffic off of the other one. The techi arguments have some impact on business values and decisions, but for the most part irrelevant to day to day business. I can't think of another company, except perhaps Microsoft, that has the long term potential, world wide, that Intel has. Incredibly good management, and one significant advantage to Microsoft. Their management vision is not centered in one person. If Bill Gates is killed, etc., I don't see a TEAM with vision.
As to performance in a bear market, I believe they will "correct" like any major stock. However, they are distributing their manufacturing and marketing world wide, which should dampen any short to intermediate term negatives. I have a core, long term position, and wish that I had the resources to increase it, and/or have some to trade. Regards, Carl
BTW: I have concerns about the ultimate credibility of people who post on these threads who don't at least give a e-mail address. I would strongly recommend that you do so. Thanks. |
