Regis, the option players are certainly pricing calls as if they agreed with your assessment.

Examples:

The stock closed today at 180.

With the April expiration only a little over 6 weeks to go, would you like to sell the stock in 6 weeks for $220/share? No problem, the April 200 calls (just opened for trading today, RVYDT) are 19 3/4 bid at the close. 20 is a snap 5 minutes after the open tomorrow.

Perhaps you are a little more greedy than that. With a little more patience, would you like to sell the stock in October for $250/share? No problem, the October 200 calls, also opened for trading today (RVYJT) are 50 7/8 bid.

Over the last several weeks I have yielded to temptation and sold calls on various occasions against less than 10% of my long-term holdings. So far, all have been a mistake.

A friend of mine who made a great deal of money on 3COM during the early 90s believes that MRVC will get to 300 before this year is out. That would be 150 after the split. We shall see.

BP

P.S. The board is not the same without our leader.
