One of the first training films you see in Sub School is a training film of a live fire exercise with a Mk-48 torpedo. There is a derelict cargo ship out there and a torpedo is fired at it. When the torpedo reaches the target, the explosion literally lifts the ship out of the water (it appears) and breaks it into 2 pieces. This isn't a small ship...it's a BIG cargo ship! Very impressive! Yes, it ends very quickly. :*) -Joe
