Tony, RE: Rambus

I'm not the expert in this, and I hope a Rambus proponent steps in here.

People feel welcome to correct me if I wrong, 'cause I'm dealing with my faulty memory. Rambus has a lawsuit against a major SDRAM manufacturer for patent infringement. They allege that they have patents for SDRAM, and should collect royalties on not only current sales but also past sales. They are only going after this one company, because they have been uncooperative with RDRAM. BUT, if the suit was to be successful, they could, theoretically, collect royalties on all the SDRAM that has been sold.

I setting myself up to be corrected, and welcome it.

John
