PARSIPPANY, NJ-- May 1, 1997-- Dialogic Corporation (NASDAQ:DLGC), the world's leading manufacturer of standards-based computer telephony (CT) components, began shipping Voice Control Systems' VProT 3.4 Speech Recognition technology on AntaresT for WinNT, the industry's first production WinNT automatic speech recognition (ASR) DSP based package that is available "off-the-shelf." VProT 3.4 ASR technology from Voice Control Systems (VCS) running on AntaresT Dialogic's standards-based DSP speech platform, enables system integrators and application developers to rapidly create speech-enabled applications that can reduce system cost, enhance customer service, and generate new billable services. The robust architecture of the AntaresT DSP platform, which is SCSA compliant, and the modularity of the VCS VProT 3.4 ASR package guarantees the scalability of telephony applications that are built on AntaresT . Call centers, voice mail systems, interactive voice response units, personal assistants and voice-activated dialing systems, call completion, and international callback are examples of typical applications that can be built today using VCS VProT 3.4 on AntaresT . "The VCS VProT 3.4 on AntaresT package is the first production, DSP-based ASR solution under WinNT," said Peter Gantchev, product marketing manager at Dialogic. "VProT 3.4 on AntaresT brings full functionality, scalability and flexibility to an enormous base of application developers in the Window's world who view the integration of accurate, network proven speech recognition as a way of adding significant value to their products or services." "Again, the pairing of two industry leaders has resulted in a product that makes the development of speech recognition applications faster and more cost-effective than ever before," said Peter Foster, president and chief executive officer of Voice Control Systems. "Combining the strength of Antares and VCS with the functionality of WinNT is an ideal example of how teamwork is helping to deliver the best of breed technologies to expand the market opportunities for speech recognition." "The VPro package under Windows NT has allowed us to rapidly integrate flexible speech recognition into our Centrum 9000RM Interactive Voice Response systems," said Jeffrey Webb, vice president engineering of the Maxxar Corporation, based in Farmington Hills, Michigan. "The scalability of the product on the Dialogic Antares platform allows us to offer as few, or as many lines of recognition as needed to satisfy the demands of our customers' applications. Furthermore, the continuous digit recognition performance offered by this package is decidedly superior to that of other ASR offerings that we are familiar with. For added flexibility we've also embedded the VPro on Antares package into our MaxxARTST tool suite, allowing our developers who've built DTMF applications to effortlessly incorporate ASR into these same applications." VCS VProT 3.4 technology on AntaresT features eight simultaneous channels of speech recognition per AntaresT 2000/50 board, support of thirteen pre-trained languages, discrete ASR for both speaker independent and speaker dependent modes as well as speaker independent continuous ASR. Proprietary Cut-ThruT and out-of-vocabulary rejection technologies allow callers to quickly and accurately navigate through an application. In addition, Word-spotting technologies are available from VCS as a custom vocabulary build. Availability and Pricing VCS VProT 3.4 on AntaresT for WinNT is available now from Dialogic and lists for $598 per port. The VProT 3.4 package is also available in production under SCO OpenServer, SCO Unixware and MS-DOS. For more information, call 1-800-775-4444.

SANTA CLARA, CA --May 1, 1996-- Dialogic Corporation (NASDAQ:DLGC), the world's leading manufacturer of standards-based computer telephony components, has received Pan-European PTT approval and announced the launch of the GammaLink CPi/200 BRI Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) platform. The platform allows developers, integrators and end users of computer-based fax (CBF) applications to take advantage of many unique capabilities of the proliferating world wide digital telephony standard, ISDN. The GammaLink CPi/200 BRI is targeted at small to medium size businesses that require highly reliable and easy-to-implement ISDN CBF solutions. With a price of $2495, the GammaLink CPi/200 BRI brings to this market inbound routing capability that permits automatic delivery of incoming faxes to the end users' PCs, significantly faster call set-up that increases fax system throughput, and lower line noise and interference required for the reliable high speed fax connections. The GammaLink CPi/200 BRI Pan-European product certification, issued by the British Approvals Board for Telecommunications (BABT), allows users to legally connect their system to the ISDN BRI telephone networks in all European Countries. To receive a Pan-European certification, product must adhere to multiple governmental regulations and safety requirements. There is no single worldwide standard, so vendors are required to make hardware and software modifications to ensure compatibility with each country's telecommunications system. Product may not be integrated without such certifications. The GammaLink CPi/200 BRI is based on the legendary GammaLink fax cell architecture that provides guaranteed compatibility with all fax devices anywhere in the world. The GammaLink CPi/200 BRI provides two fax channels over a single BRI line and is scaleable up to 16 boards in a single chassis for a total of 32 fax channels. Additionally, it can be seamlessly integrated with all existing applications that support Dialogic's GammaLink CBF platforms, making it an ideal ISDN BRI solution to numerous fax applications. With the addition of GammaLink CPi/200 BRI, Dialogic Corporation expands its ISDN product portfolio to provide the industry's most extensive and cost-effective solutions for all BRI and PRI ISDN voice/fax environments for small, medium and high density applications. |
