[Don't Fight the Tape]

All of a sudden, that has a nice ring to it. What a difference a couple of days make. Walt, I take it that we blasted far enough past the 8 7/8 mark to confirm a reversal in the trend :^).
Some thoughts come to mind now:

One is that just about anyone who was going to sell probably did so in the last couple of months. The true believers/long-term holders are left now. The combination of a lack of sellers and panic buying may still have explosive power to go.

Secondly, if GTE is forming an alliance with Microsoft, and GTE goes with Amati for its hardware/software, the sky is the limit, IMHO.

Thirdly, the obvious short covering is likely not over, with the SOES bandits making it very painful for them.

Fourthly, Amati may lead the charge of the renaissance of small stocks and momentum players.

Fifthly, I've noticed that stocks often go up on large volume mysteriously only to have broker recommendations come out after they have loaded up. And once one big broker gets on board, the others don't want to be left out.

Sixthly, if institutions get genuinely interested, the whole thing will be leveraged that much more.

Seventhly, did anyone notice that we passed the 16,000 mark---Cheers!

Thanks everyone,

Richard
