How can 1000000 shares be sold off when the avg daily vol is usually less than 100K? He probably shorted the shares offshore (Korea?) last May when it hit 20 bucks. The stock was sold last May when volume was +million a day. At least that's how they do it in the movies. The recent spike could just be short covering. JMHO
