I recently sold some positions at ndb and the web site had problems like alternately telling me I had no open orders and then listing the open orders I know I had. In actuality the orders were on the floor and it was just web site problems ( they say there was a hacker attack or monday's volume was too much).
Anyway some of the orders took 10 minutes to confirm aothers took 1/2 hour and the final one took 4 hours and didn't show till after the close. The actual trades took place soon after I submitted the orders but the comfirms which (according to the fellow I finally reached on the phone for an explanation) had to be done on paper (why?).
Clearly this would not be a good situation for day trading.
It's like driving blindfolded, but the bottlenecks seem to happen eratically.
