I could write worlds about some peoples' need to preen on any and all subjects without regard to depth and how shockingly easily otherwise intelligent persons buy into superficiality....

You are certainly eloquent, but if I might, please grade me on a laymans (rednecks) translation:

I could write a book about how some people should study English and learn to use different words to describe life's experiences and subjects without delving too deeply. It shocks me that otherwise intelligent people are so shallow.
