I find it very hard to imagine those words were spoken by Suzanne. If so, it would likely mean Suzanne were not in a car.

The window in the car was open (it was a warm evening)...or she was opening the door as she was trying to get away.

If all those stab wounds occurred outside, then where is all the blood?

In the grass where she was stabbed.

why didn't she make any attempt to defend herself?

She did..she ran away.

If you want to argue Suzanne may have said those words while in a car then it would mean the witness was most likely outside. If the witness was outside then why did he/she apparently not feel alarmed enough to go check things out?

Perhaps the witness looked out the window to see what was going on and saw nothing as the chase was already down the block. Many people would not go outside as danger may lurk. Maybe just watch and listen from inside. Sometimes I hear neighbors arguing and just assume it is neighbors arguing...none of my business especially if it does not continue.

those words could have likely come from anyone.

Unlikey words by someone out for an evening stroll or someone walking a pet.
